OUR DISCIPLINES

At Quest Martial Arts, we use boxing and kickboxing as the foundation for the "empty hand" portion.  Filipino Martial Arts, focusing on single and double stick provides the foundation for the weapons portion.  Other arts are trained as well to supplement the students education, like Muay Thai, Savate, Silat, Wing Chun, and others.  See our blog post for more information on our kickboxing and martial arts programs for kids and adults.

oUR PHILOSOPHY

Most Martial Arts Programs have a set path and a set curriculum.  There is usually a white at the beginning and a black belt at the end.  At Quest, there is no "end."  Lifelong learning is part of our culture and part of our Creed.  Quest Martial arts provides a pathway and framework to train in the martial arts one's whole life.

Our martial arts program not only teaches students what to train, they learn how to train.  The curriculum covers martial arts techniques from a range of styles.  The “Art” mode of training is a bridge to history and culture.  The “Sport” mode is a path to competition, fitness, and developing your potential.  The “Science” mode is where you pressure test and see how well the techniques work.  Understanding what these three modes are and how to do them safely is paramount in your martial arts development.

The concept of Art, Sport, and Science is so central to the philosophy of Quest Martial Arts, it's represented in the logo.
